Amazing Grace Kids-Space

Parallel to the main program there will be the "Amazing Grace" Kids Space at IN*VISION, where children can spend time together with the Kids Space Crew, play and also attend workshops.
It is important to us to give people with children the opportunity to participate in the
IN*VISION
. Taking care of a child means an incredibly high amount of care work, which is often done by people who experience various forms of sexism. Because of this care work, it is not possible for many people to participate in events, especially if they take place over several days.
Childcare is therefore offered during workshop times.
As a festival & seminar organized on a voluntary basis we are dependent on a solidary community. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide childcare outside of the workshop hours. In the past, it has always been the case that people have spontaneously joined in with the childcare, or that caregivers of the participating children have collectively taken care of other children.
Both 30 minutes before the workshop starts in the morning and in the afternoon, our Kids Space team will welcome the children. Then there will be time for arrangements and to answer questions. However, the Kids Space of IN*VISION is not meant to be a parent/guardian-free space. You are cordially invited to join us with your children and to use the materials or the Kids Space for your own purposes. This is also possible outside of childcare or workshop hours.
The childcare is provided by a team of people who have experience in working with children, some of them for many years. We place great value on the children having a say in what they feel like doing. Our pedagogical approach is to create sensitivities and awareness of prejudice through play, to empower and to encourage dreaming together.
In addition to free play activities and small trips on the beautiful grounds of the Quecke, there will be selective fixed workshop offerings. For example, a forest hike, singing, making your own afro hair, linoleum printing and readings are planned.
We are looking forward to many children who can bring the Kids Space to life and hope they will have as nice an IN*VISION as the adults.
