SchwarzRund came to Bremen at the age of three as a Black German Dominican and has been living in Berlin for almost ten years. Since 2013 she has been publishing on her blog schwarzrund.de and in various magazines. She negotiates multidimensional realities of life inside and outside communities in performance texts, lectures and series of events.  She holds a bachelor's degree in cultural studies and gender studies and is currently completing a master's degree in the second. Her research focuses on the intervention fields of Black Queer music videos.
In 2016 her Afropolitan Berlin-novel BISKAYA was published by zaglossus Verlag. Since then her poems, short stories, essays and pictures have been published in various publications.
SchwarzRund is queer, migrated, has the double pass, behindert, neurodiverse, fat, pan, cis priviliged, light-skin and femme.
