Referent*in - Furat Abdulle
Furat Abdulle is a spoken word artist, organizes critical events in Mainz and studies for a Master's degree. Digital Methodology in the Humanities and Cultural Sciences.
In the socio-political context she has worked on topics such as anti-Muslim racism, intersectionality theories and racism criticism.
As a spoken word artist she has performed on various formats such as Poetry Meets Series, One World Poetry Night and the opening event of Black Lives Matter Berlin. One of the first major appearances took place at the 30th anniversary of the Initiative für Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (ISD) in Frankfurt.
In the meantime, she has been invited to conferences, festivals and congresses as a spoken word artist and speaker on power-critical topics. At the conference "Now we're talking" she gave a Spoken Word Workshop for beginners who also want to artistically deal with their life realities.
