SchwarzRund (she/they/@) came to Bremen as a Black German Dominican at the age of three, has lived in Berlin for over a decade. On schwarzrund.de and in various magazines she writes about multidimensional realities of life inside and outside of communities. She also negotiates this on stage as a speaker and poet. She studied Cultural Studies and Gender Studies in her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Her research focuses on queer black interventions and Afrx-Latinx identities. She is currently doing her PhD in the research group Contested Democracy at the University of Erfurt.
