Kaleo Sansaa is a young artist from Cologne who gives her songs a unique character through rap, poetry, singing & the use of her loop station. Her highly experimental sound is influenced by a capella, Neo Soul, Hip-Hop and a good portion of Afrofuturism. On June 15 she released her first E.P., which bears the meaningful name "Purple Moon". Prior to her nomination as Best New Comer at NRW Pop, the Cologne-based musician toured southern Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg and Lusaka) in July '18. On her German tour in autumn/winter 2018 she was on stage with the popular US-American duo Oshun. Since the release of her first E.P. "Purple Moon" Sansaa has been regarded as a multi-faceted insider tip on German, Spanish and South African stages. After several nominations in Barcelona, she won at the Berlin Short Filmfestival in the category "Best Music Video". The promising newcomer is currently working on the release of her second E.p. in autumn 2019.
