Afro-feminisms, Afro-futures: The authentic self as a location of feminist power

What about the individual identity (single gender, many genders or no-gender, sexualities, race but not only these markers because there are many others). What in the identity brings about the wish to work for real liberation of oneself and others. What’s possible and healthy within that practice and what is not? How are behaviors like dominance and authenticity expressed in activism?

This will not be a workshop where you listen and take notes. Its an experiential workshop. Within it you are expected to enter a process of self-reflection. My primary method is to use my own experiences and identities in the group to reflect on the topic. To follow this method we need to listen carefully, and to listen more than we talk. So the workshop will be begin with exercises to introduce the group to power hierarchies, empathic listening and speaking.
