Referent*innen-Info #19 Sara Dehkordi
Sara Dehkordi is a lecturer and political activist, who works and writes on a facet of topics that are all related to the analysis of historical power structures such as colonialism, capitalism and neoliberalism. In her scholarly work she concentrates on the relations of the Colonial Project with neoliberal urban development, on colonial genocide, and neocolonial exploitation. Her activism is situated within a communist framework in which refugees from Iran have come together to work against oppression and exploitation in the Middle East, form collective responses to state violence, and develop new imaginaries and forms of knowledge production in relation to the millions of silenced histories of people in the that region (see here). She is based in Cape Town and Berlin.
